Directed by Craig Gillespie, this darker take on the Man of Steel's cousin hits theaters on June 26, 2026. As the second big theatrical entry in James Gunn’s new DCU, it’s already shaping up to be a total departure from the classic superhero vibe. Milly Alcock stars as a hardened, jaded Kara Zor-El, a version of the character who’s seen way too much tragedy to be as optimistic as her cousin. Having been raised on a surviving fragment of a dying Krypton, this Kara has a cynical, "punk" edge born from witnessing her world’s end firsthand.
