Runner Soundtrack (2026): Every Song

Director Scott Waugh (Need for Speed, Expend4bles) delivers a relentless, race-against-the-clock action thriller with Runner, starring Alan Ritchson (Reacher) as elite courier Hank Malone. The high-stakes plot traps Hank in a desperate three-hour countdown across treacherous terrain to deliver a donor organ needed for seven-year-old Ellie Baker’s life-saving transplant. What begins as a specialized transport mission detonates into an all-out urban war when a ruthless crime syndicate commander, played with lethal intensity by Rodrigo Santoro, vows to intercept the shipment at any cost. Flanked by Owen Wilson as Ben alongside Leila George and Adriana Barraza, Ritchson anchors a kinetic thrill ride where brutal close-quarters combat meets breathless highway pursuits.

Classic rock anthems and gritty guitar riffs fuel Hank Malone's vehicle chases, matching the film’s pedal-to-the-metal pace. The high point of the third-act vehicular showdown erupts to the screaming guitars of Mötley Crüe’s adrenaline-soaked anthem "Kickstart My Heart", preceded by the raw, screeching energy of Ted Nugent’s "Motor City Madhouse". Waugh balances these aggressive hard-rock moments with vintage, swagger-filled favorites: Norman Greenbaum’s fuzzy 1969 hit "Spirit In the Sky" scores Hank's initial courier pickup, while The Hollies’ swampy groove "Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress)" plays during an intimate conversation on board the transport plane. Logan Pringle’s heartfelt ballad "Until I See You" brings a grounded emotional pause before the violence escalates once more.
