Fitz and The Tantrums is an acclaimed American indie pop/neo-soul band from Los Angeles, formed in 2008 by frontman Michael "Fitz" Fitzpatrick and co-lead vocalist Noelle Scaggs, known for their danceable, retro-soul sound with hits like "HandClap," blending Motown influences with modern energy. After forming around Fitzpatrick's soulful songwriting on a vintage organ, the group quickly gained traction with their 2010 debut Pickin' Up the Pieces, featuring James King (sax), Jeremy Ruzumna (keys), Joseph Karnes (bass), and John Wicks (drums). They've released several successful albums, achieving chart success and becoming known for energetic live shows and catchy, feel-good anthems.
