Running Point (2025) is a Netflix comedy series created by Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen that follows Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson), a reformed party girl who is unexpectedly appointed president of her family's prestigious, yet chaotic, professional basketball franchise, the Los Angeles Waves, after her brother (Justin Theroux) resigns following a scandal. Overlooked her whole life, Isla must prove her leadership skills to her skeptical brothers, a demanding board, and the male-dominated sports industry while balancing personal drama and attempting to turn the team's season around.
