As a geostorm ravages Earth, Athena and Hen's space mission teeters on the edge. On the ground, the 118 battles chaos when technology goes rogue.
Athena and Hen clink glasses in their pre-flight quarters, swapping jokes and worries about the risks ahead as they prepare to blast off into space.

Athena and Hen face increasing dangers as friends both near and far try to get them home safely. Meanwhile, the 118 continues to help victims of the geostorm and falling debris.

As Athena and Hen navigate their way back home, Athena will be forced to confront what it means to live without Bobby.
In a flashback, we see Young Athena (Carter) and her partner McCluskey sipping coffee at a diner. This is where things get interesting, Michael, a charming young man, walks in and buys their drinks before making some flirtatious moves on Athena.
The news segment kicks off with a rundown on the Soyuz re-entry mission, declaring it a major success after some initial hiccups. Then, the focus shifts to the aftermath in LA, showcasing the city's ongoing recovery efforts following a devastating event.
