Rob Lowry is a prominent Los Angeles-based music supervisor and the founder of the supervision company Sweater Weather Music. Born in Philadelphia, Lowry was inspired to pursue music supervision after seeing the film Almost Famous, eventually relocating to California to begin his career as a production assistant on series like Friday Night Lights and Parenthood. Over the last decade, he has curated soundtracks for over 100 projects, earning two Guild of Music Supervisors Awards and becoming known for his eclectic, character-driven curation on titles such as The Bold Type, Gossip Girl (2021), The Lost City, and the 2025 theatrical release Companion. His work, frequently highlighted in publications like Variety and Rolling Stone, focuses on utilizing music as a narrative tool to bridge emotions and storytelling in film and television.
