Nate Walcott

Nathaniel "Nate" Walcott, born on March 6, 1978, is a versatile American musician, composer, and arranger best known as a longtime member of the indie rock band Bright Eyes. A skilled multi-instrumentalist proficient in trumpet and piano, he has become one of the industry's most sought-after collaborators, touring extensively with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and contributing arrangements to major artists like U2, Phoebe Bridgers, and Beck. Beyond the stage, Walcott has established a prominent career as a film composer, frequently partnering with Mike Mogis to score films such as The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and Stuck in Love. Based in Los Angeles, he continues to bridge the gap between indie rock and cinematic scoring, recently working on the 2024 Bright Eyes album Five Dice, All Threes.
