Maggie Phillips

Maggie Phillips is a highly acclaimed music supervisor and the founder of Deep Cut Music, an independent, all-female creative firm. Originally a fine art student at the University of Texas at Austin, she transitioned into film after collaborating with the Duplass Brothers on their early projects. Over a career spanning nearly two decades, she has curated the soundtracks for over 30 high-profile films and television series, including the Academy Award-winning Moonlight and hit shows such as Fargo, The Handmaid’s Tale, Shōgun, Legion, and The Dropout. Known for her artful and often ironic "needle drops," her recent work includes supervising for 2025 projects like Alien: Earth and The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox. Her significant contributions to the industry earned her a 2024 Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music Supervision for Fargo.
