Daniel Hart is a American composer, violinist, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, known for his long-term collaboration with filmmaker David Lowery on films such as Ain't Them Bodies Saints, Pete's Dragon, A Ghost Story, and The Green Knight. A classically trained musician who began violin at age three, Hart toured with bands like St. Vincent and Broken Social Scene before establishing a prolific career scoring feature films, TV shows (e.g., The Exorcist), and the popular S-Town podcast. He also leads the band Dark Rooms and is recognized for incorporating unique instruments and vocal elements into his evocative, genre-spanning scores.
