American composer, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist Brian Tyler (born May 8, 1972) is one of the highest-grossing film composers in history, with his projects having earned over $12 billion at the global box office. A graduate of UCLA and Harvard University, he was inspired to enter the industry by his Academy Award-winning art director grandfather, Walter H. Tyler, and has since mastered over 30 instruments. He is best known for his high-octane scores for seven installments of the Fast & Furious franchise, Marvel blockbusters like Iron Man 3 and Avengers: Age of Ultron, and hit television series such as Yellowstone. Beyond traditional scoring, Tyler composed the official Formula 1 theme, re-arranged the iconic Universal Pictures 100th anniversary fanfare, and produces electronic music under the moniker Madsonik.
