Blair Mowat

Blair Mowat is a BAFTA-nominated Scottish composer and musical arranger known for his extensive work across film, television, and theatre, having completed over 200 scores. He is classically trained with a BA in Music from Durham University and an MA in Composition for Film and Television from Bristol University. Mowat’s prominent credits include the Doctor Who spin-off series Class, the ITV thriller After the Flood (returning for a second season in 2026), and Russell T Davies's drama Nolly, for which he won a Camille Award and received a BAFTA TV nomination. His diverse portfolio also features scores for Hammer Horror’s Doctor Jekyll and the globally recognized documentary The Age of Disclosure. Currently, he serves as a full voting member of BAFTA and divides his time between London, Los Angeles, and Edinburgh.
