Resident Evil Soundtrack (2026): Every Song

Director Zach Cregger brings his trademark dread from Barbarian to the horror franchise in Resident Evil (2026). Drawing inspiration from the events of the classic video game Resident Evil 2, the film centers on Bryan (Austin Abrams), a routine medical courier caught in Raccoon City during a brutal winter storm. A routine drop-off at an isolated hospital turns into a nightmare when a lethal viral outbreak breaks out, turning doctors, patients, and local residents into mutated predators. With the facility completely cut off from the outside world, Bryan scrambles to stay alive alongside survivors played by Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, and Paul Walter Hauser, slowly realizing that the biological disaster is connected to the Umbrella Corporation's darkest secrets.

Brothers Hays Holladay and Ryan Holladay compose the film's 29-track original score, trading traditional action music for unsettling horror atmospheres and industrial tension. Musician Aaron Esposito joins the duo on "Main Titles Extended", setting a grim tone with low pulses and distorted electronics that mirror the creeping contagion. Indie folk artist Shannon Lay lends haunting vocal textures to "Skybridge Reprise", providing a fragile moment of quiet amid the carnage. Across tense cues like "Infection", "Maternity Ward", "Laboratory", and "Subterranean", the score combines screeching acoustic strings with harsh electronic drones to make the dark corridors of the medical center feel suffocating.
