Directed by André Øvredal and written by T.W. Burgess and Zachary Donohue, this supernatural horror film follows a young couple on a scenic cross-country road trip that quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival. After witnessing a gruesome accident on a deserted highway, they find themselves relentlessly hunted by a demonic presence. The eerie, claustrophobic atmosphere of their camper van and the terrifying open roads are punctuated by a mix of upbeat tunes and sudden background tunes that mirror their rising panic. These audio choices build a sense of inescapable dread, making the road trip nightmare feel deeply visceral.
