Written and directed by Chandler Levack, this coming-of-age romantic comedy is set in the 2011 Montreal music scene and follows a young critic who relocates to write a book about a classic rock album. The film utilizes a combination of upbeat tunes and background tunes to capture the lo-fi charm of indie rock and the vibrant energy of the local neighborhood. As the plot centers on the lead character's unexpected role as a publicist for an aspiring band and her romantic entanglements with two of its members, the musical choices incorporate vocal tracks and melodic tunes that reflect the passion and uncertainty of young adulthood.
