Yonaka

YONAKA is an explosive English alternative rock band formed in Brighton in 2014, known for their genre-bending sound that seamlessly blends heavy rock riffs, punk furor, pop hooks, and hip-hop beats. Fronted by the fierce and commanding vocalist Theresa Jarvis alongside guitarist George Edwards and bassist/keyboardist Alex Crosby, the group quickly built a reputation for their fierce, high-octane live performances. They achieved widespread acclaim with their 2019 debut studio album, Don't Wait 'Til Tomorrow, which cracked the UK Top 40 and earned them a nomination for Best British Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards. Renowned for their empowering lyrics that tackle mental health, anxiety, and defiance, the band has continued to push musical boundaries through standout releases like their 2021 mixtape Seize the Power and the 2023 EP Welcome to My House.
