Waxahatchee
Waxahatchee is the critically acclaimed solo project of Alabama-born singer-songwriter Katie Queenie Collins, better known by her stage name. With a distinctive voice that's equal parts folk, rock, and punk, Waxahatchee has carved out a unique niche in the indie music scene with her introspective and emotionally charged songwriting style. Her breakthrough album, "Cerulean Salt" (2013), showcased her ability to craft poignant, harmony-rich indie-folk anthems that resonated with listeners worldwide. Since then, Waxahatchee has continued to push boundaries with subsequent releases like "Ivy Tripp" (2015) and "Out in the Storm" (2017). The latter, produced by Grammy-winning engineer and producer Andrew VanWyngarden, saw Collins exploring new sonic territories, incorporating elements of post-punk and new wave into her signature sound. As Waxahatchee's fan base has grown, so too have her live shows, which often feature intricate guitar work and poignant stage presence. With a reputation for delivering raw, heartfelt performances, Waxahatchee remains one of the most compelling and innovative voices in contemporary indie music.
