Warpaint

Warpaint is a Los Angeles-based indie/psychedelic rock band, formed in 2004 by childhood friends Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman, and Jenny Lee Lindberg, with actress Shannyn Sossamon on drums until her departure in 2008, and Stella Mozgawa joining in 2009 to solidify the current lineup; they are known for their atmospheric grooves, intricate guitar work, and hypnotic vocals, blending post-punk, dream pop, and psychedelic influences into sprawling, unique soundscapes that gained early buzz with their self-released debut EP, Exquisite Corpse, before critically acclaimed albums like The Fool and Heads Up further established their distinctive sound.
