Velocity Girl was a American indie rock band from Maryland, active in the 1990s, known for their melodic, shimmering sound that blended shoegaze and pop, fronted by singer Sarah Shannon; they gained early fame with Slumberland's "My Forgotten Favorite," signed to Sub Pop, released albums like Copacetic and Simpatico!, and after disbanding in 1996, reunited sporadically, including for shows in 2023-2024.
