The Tallest Man On Earth

The Tallest Man on Earth is the solo folk project of Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson (born April 30, 1983), who began his career in 2006 after fronting the indie band Montezumas. Known for his raspy vocals and intricate fingerstyle guitar, Matsson quickly gained global acclaim with early albums like Shallow Grave (2008) and The Wild Hunt (2010), often earning comparisons to Bob Dylan for his poetic storytelling. After years of solo DIY recording, Matsson significantly evolved his sound with his sixth studio album, Henry St. (2023), which was his first to be recorded with a full band in a studio setting. As of 2026, he remains a prolific touring artist, currently performing a series of concerts across Europe and North America that showcase his expanded repertoire, which now includes his own explorations of the violin and banjo.
