The Shirelles were a pioneering American "girl group" formed in 1957 by Passaic, New Jersey high schoolers Shirley Owens, Doris Coley, Addie "Micki" Harris, and Beverly Lee. Known for hits like "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" and "Dedicated to the One I Love," they were the first African-American female group to top the charts and significantly influenced1960s pop.
