The Rapture
The Rapture are to the influential American dance-punk band formed in 1998 by Luke Jenner and Vito Roccoforte, known for their post-punk revival sound, hits like "House of Jealous Lovers," and albums like Echoes, disbanding in 2014. It also refers to the Christian eschatological concept of believers being taken to heaven before judgment (popularized by John Nelson Darby), a 1991 film starring Mimi Rogers, and the fictional underwater city in the game BioShock.
