The Postal Service
The Postal Service was an American indie electropop duo formed by Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel), featuring Jenny Lewis on vocals, known for their mail-order collaboration on the platinum-selling 2003 album Give Up. The band's name came from sending DATs through the mail, though they used FedEx/UPS; after initial success and a 2005 disbandment, they reunited for anniversary tours in 2013 and 2023, creating a significant legacy in indie music despite only releasing the one album.
