The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones were a pioneering American ska-punk band from Boston, formed in 1983, famous for creating the "ska-core" genre by blending third-wave ska with hardcore punk and dressing in plaid suits. Led by vocalist Dicky Barrett and dancer Ben Carr, they achieved mainstream success in the mid-90s with hits like "The Impression That I Get," appearing in films like Clueless, and hosting their annual "Hometown Throwdown," before disbanding in 2022 after nearly four decades.
