The Kills
Formed in 2001, The Kills are a highly influential Anglo-American rock duo consisting of American vocalist Alison "VV" Mosshart and English guitarist Jamie "Hotel" Hince. Known for their raw, minimalist sound that blends garage rock, punk-blues, and lo-fi aesthetics, the pair gained critical acclaim for early albums like Keep on Your Mean Side (2003) and Midnight Boom (2008). Over more than two decades, they have maintained a distinct chemistry, evolving from gritty guitar-and-drum-machine beginnings to more polished productions like Ash & Ice (2016) and their sixth studio album, God Games (2023). As of 2026, the duo continues to be a staple of the alternative rock scene, following recent activities such as their 2024 Happier Girls Sessions EP and international tour dates supporting the continued success of their latest full-length record.
