Formed in Oklahoma City in 1983 by Wayne Coyne, The Flaming Lips are an iconic American psychedelic rock band known for experimental sounds and elaborate live shows. Rising from the 1980s indie scene, they achieved mainstream success with the 1993 hit "She Don't Use Jelly" and later acclaimed albums The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots.
