
The Doors
Formed in Los Angeles in 1965 by UCLA film students Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek, along with Robby Krieger and John Densmore, The Doors were a pioneering American rock band known for their poetic, chaotic, and psychedelic sound. Led by the charismatic but controversial Morrison, they released influential hits like "Light My Fire" before his 1971 death.
