Tchaikovsky

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) was a renowned Russian Romantic composer known for bridging Russian and Western musical traditions, creating some of the world's most popular classical works, including the ballets Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and The Sleeping Beauty, as well as the 1812 Overture and Eugene Onegin. Despite early training for a civil service career, he embraced music, graduating from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, and became an internationally recognized figure, celebrated for his rich melodies and deep emotional expression, though his life was marked by personal struggles, including his secret homosexuality, which influenced his poignant compositions.
