Sublime
Formed in Long Beach, California, in 1988, Sublime—frontman Bradley Nowell, bassist Eric Wilson, and drummer Bud Gaugh—became icons of 90s ska-punk by masterfully blending reggae, hip-hop, and punk rock. Known for hits like "Santeria" and "What I Got," they achieved massive posthumous success with their 1996 self-titled album, released just after Nowell's tragic death from a heroin overdose.
