Starship
Starship evolved from Jefferson Starship in 1984 after Paul Kantner sued the band, leading to the retirement of "Jefferson" and a shift to a slicker, mainstream pop/rock sound with hits like "We Built This City" and "Sara," featuring Mickey Thomas and Grace Slick, becoming a major MTV act before Slick's 1988 departure, with Thomas eventually reviving the band as "Starship featuring Mickey Thomas" for touring, continuing their legacy of arena rock hits.
