SOFI TUKKER is a globally acclaimed American electronic-pop duo formed in 2014 by Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, who met during their senior year at Brown University. The group is celebrated for its "jungle pop" sound—a vibrant fusion of house music with Brazilian instruments and Portuguese poetry, inspired by Hawley-Weld’s time living in Rio de Janeiro. Their career took off with the 2015 debut single "Drinkee," which earned a Grammy nomination, followed by a second nomination for their first studio album, Treehouse, in 2018.
