Snail Mail

Snail Mail is the indie rock solo project of American singer-songwriter and guitarist Lindsey Jordan (born June 16, 1999), who emerged from the Baltimore, Maryland area to gain critical acclaim for her introspective lyrics and 90s-inspired guitar sound. After starting to write music in the seventh grade and performing live by age 15, she released her EP Habit in 2016, which included the standout track "Thinning". Signing with Matador Records, she gained widespread recognition with her 2018 debut studio album, Lush, which was praised for its candid depiction of adolescence, followed by her more complex, synth-influenced second album, Valentine (2021). Known for her DIY beginnings and early mentorship from Mary Timony, Jordan has established herself as a prominent indie rock songwriter, often blending themes of raw vulnerability with confident artistry.
