Simple Minds

Formed in Glasgow in 1977 by childhood friends Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, Simple Minds evolved from punk roots into one of the UK's most successful rock bands, selling over 60–70 million records worldwide. Known for their atmospheric 1980s synth-rock sound, they achieved international stardom with hits like "Don't You (Forget About Me)," "Alive and Kicking," and "Belfast Child". Despite numerous lineup changes over nearly five decades, Kerr and Burchill have remained the core of the band, continuing to tour and record into the 2020s, solidifying their reputation as enduring stadium rockers.
