Shygirl

Shygirl, born Blane Muise in South London in 1993, is a British singer, DJ, and songwriter celebrated for her innovative fusion of deconstructed club, experimental pop, and grime. She first gained underground attention as a co-founder of the Nuxxe collective alongside frequent collaborator Sega Bodega, quickly becoming a central figure in the hyperpop and alternative electronic scenes through early EPs like Cruel Practice (2018) and the critically acclaimed Alias (2020). Her debut studio album, Nymph (2022), earned a Mercury Prize nomination for its nuanced exploration of femininity and vulnerability, further solidifying her status as a high-fashion and musical visionary who has collaborated with icons such as Lady Gaga, Arca, and Charli XCX.
