She & Him
She & Him is an American indie-pop duo formed in 2006 by Zooey Deschanel (vocals, piano, ukulele) and M. Ward (guitar, production). Merging Deschanel’s songwriting with Ward’s distinct production, they gained popularity for their whimsical, retro, and indie-folk sound. Their debut, Volume One (2008), launched a successful career often compared to 1960s pop.
