Santigold (born Santi White in Philadelphia, 1976) is an acclaimed American singer, songwriter, and producer known for her genre-bending music that blends punk, reggae, new wave, and electronic sounds. After starting as an A&R rep and lead singer for punk band Stiffed, she launched her solo career as Santogold, later changing her name to Santigold due to trademark issues. Her critically praised debut album Santogold (2008) and hits like "L.E.S. Artistes" established her unique sound, followed by successful albums like Master of My Make-Believe (2012) and 99¢ (2016), solidifying her status as an innovative force in indie pop.
