Prince & The Revolution
Formed by Prince in 1979 and solidified by 1983, The Revolution was his iconic backing band, blending rock, funk, pop, and R&B to create the signature "Minneapolis sound". Famously starring in Purple Rain (1984), they drove his meteoric 80s success before disbanding in 1986, leaving a legendary musical legacy.
