
Peter Schilling
Peter Schilling (born Pierre Michael Schilling on January 28, 1956, in Stuttgart, Germany) is a German synth-pop musician, best known for his global 1983 hit "Major Tom (Coming Home)," a retelling of David Bowie's "Space Oddity," exploring sci-fi themes. After initial German success with the song, an English version became an international sensation, appearing on his album Error in the System. Despite challenges and a hiatus, he continued releasing music, including hits like "The Different Story," and later formed the band Space Pilots.
