November Ultra

November Ultra, born Mélanie Pereira in 1988, is a Parisian singer-songwriter celebrated for her intimate, "bedroom pop" sound that fuses folk, R&B, and traditional Spanish copla. Raised by a Spanish mother and a Portuguese father, she grew up influenced by 1960s musicals and the teachings of her grandfather, eventually adopting her stage name as a tribute to her birth month and Frank Ocean’s Nostalgia, Ultra mixtape. Before launching her solo career, she gained experience as the lead singer of the electro-pop trio Agua Roja and worked as a songwriter for artists like Jaden Smith and Barbara Pravi. She achieved widespread international recognition through TikTok and the 2022 release of her debut album, Bedroom Walls, which features soulful tracks in English, French, and Spanish. Her rising influence in the European music scene was cemented in 2023 when she won Best New Female Artist at the Victoires de la Musique, the French equivalent of the Grammys.
