Miss Grit

Miss Grit is the musical project of Margaret Dewey Sohn, a New York-based Korean-American artist and producer known for blending technical precision with experimental indie rock. A graduate of New York University in music technology, Sohn is a skilled multi-instrumentalist who often builds their own guitar pedals, a craft that informs their signature "cyborg-like" sound characterized by sharp electronic textures and explosive guitar riffs. After gaining critical acclaim with the EPs Talk Talk (2019) and Impostor (2021), they released their debut full-length album, Follow the Cyborg, in 2023 via Mute Records, which explores themes of identity and self-actualization. Most recently, Miss Grit has continued to evolve their sound with the late 2025 release of the single "Tourist Mind," further cementing their reputation as a forward-thinking architect of modern alternative music.
