Metropolin

Formed in Tel Aviv in 2005, Metropolin (Hebrew: מטרופולין) is an acclaimed Israeli synth-pop and alternative rock project led by producer and multi-instrumentalist Ofer Meiri. Originally conceived as a solo studio project, it evolved into a prominent band known for its polished, "European-style" electronic production and a rotating cast of A-list guest vocalists, including Dana Berger, Efrat Gosh, and Dana Adini. The group achieved instant success with their 2005 self-titled debut, which reached Gold status and won "Album of the Year" in Israel, followed by the critically praised albums Ha-Slil (The Reel) in 2007 and Ha-Shlishi (The Third) in 2012. Over two decades, Meiri has maintained the project's reputation for meticulous, moody soundscapes that bridge the gap between indie-pop and mainstream rock. As of early 2026, Metropolin remains a significant fixture in the Israeli music scene; while Meiri continues his prolific work as a producer for other major artists, the band has remained active with periodic live performances and the release of new singles such as "Another Life" in late 2023 and various remixes in 2024.
