Lady Sway
Marion Hall (born July 12, 1969), formerly known by the stage name Lady Saw, is a Jamaican singer recognized as the "Queen of Dancehall" for her pioneering role as the first female DJ to win a Grammy Award and achieve triple-platinum certification in the United States. Born in Galina, St. Mary, she began performing at age fifteen and rose to prominence in the 1990s with hits known for both explicit "slackness" and conscious lyrics, later gaining international fame for collaborations on Vitamin C’s "Smile" (1999) and No Doubt’s "Underneath It All" (2002). After a successful two-decade career in secular music, Hall underwent a baptism in December 2015, turning away from dancehall to focus on gospel music as Minister Marion Hall.
