Kim Wilde (born Kim Smith, 1960) is an iconic English pop singer who launched her career in 1981 with the hit "Kids in America," becoming a major 80s star known for hits like "Chequered Love," "You Came," and her US chart-topping cover of "You Keep Me Hangin' On". The daughter of 1950s rock star Marty Wilde, she's sold millions of records, won Brit Awards, and later developed successful careers as a landscape gardener, author, and TV presenter, while continuing to release music and tour.
