Joy Oladukon, born in 1992 in Arizona to Nigerian immigrants, is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter blending folk, R&B, and rock to explore themes of identity, faith, and mental health. A queer Black artist and former worship leader, she rose to acclaim with albums like In Defense of My Own Happiness (2021) and Proof of Life (2023). Known for her intimate, conversational songwriting, she has collaborated with artists such as Chris Stapleton and Noah Kahan.
