Jorge Santana (1951-2020) was a Mexican-American Latin rock guitarist, best known as a co-founder of the band Malo, famous for their 1972 hit "Suavecito," and as the younger brother of Carlos Santana, with whom he later collaborated. He forged his own path blending jazz, rock, and Latin music, releasing solo albums and playing with the Fania All-Stars, leaving a legacy as a significant figure in Latin rock despite often being in his brother's shadow.
