
Joni Mitchell
Joni Mitchell (born Roberta Joan Anderson on November 7, 1943) is a highly influential Canadian-American singer-songwriter and painter who emerged from the 1960s folk scene to redefine popular music. Known for her intensely personal lyrics, unique open-tuned guitar style, and experimental blend of folk, pop, and jazz, her masterpiece 1971 album Blue is widely regarded as one of the best of the 20th century. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, she is a multi-Grammy winner.
