After leaving the band in 1968, he pursued a prolific, diverse solo career, producing landmark albums like Paris 1919 and producing for artists such as Patti Smith and The Stooges. A trained musician with roots in classical and avant-garde, Cale continues to innovate, blending electronic and rock influences across a career spanning over five decades.
