Jean Dawson

Jean Dawson (born David Sanders on December 22, 1995) is a Mexican-American experimental musician, singer, and songwriter known for his genre-mashing sound that blends hip-hop, indie rock, punk, and pop. Raised between Tijuana, Mexico, and Spring Valley, California, Dawson endured a daily, hours-long commute across the border for school, using that time to cultivate a diverse musical palate. After shifting from film studies to music, he released his 2019 EP Bad Sports and debuted his full-length album Pixel Bath in 2020, garnering acclaim for his raw emotional depth, thematic exploration of identity, and boundary-pushing production. Now based in California, he continues to operate independently through his label P+, releasing projects like CHAOS NOW* (2022) and Glimmer of God (2024), collaborating with artists like SZA and A$AP Rocky while cultivating a dedicated following.
