Fontaines D.C. is a critically acclaimed Irish post-punk band formed in Dublin in 2014, known for their raw, poetic lyrics and energetic sound, named after the Johnny Fontane character from The Godfather with "D.C." for Dublin City, and features members Grian Chatten, Carlos O'Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan III, and Tom Coll, who bonded at music college over a shared love for poetry, evolving from local favorites to international stars with acclaimed albums like Dogrel, A Hero's Death, and Skinty Fia.
