Fastball

Formed in Austin, Texas, in 1995, Fastball is an American alternative rock trio consisting of Tony Scalzo, Miles Zuniga, and Joey Shuffield. Originally performing under the name Magneto U.S.A., the band rebranded after signing with Hollywood Records and achieved massive mainstream success with their 1998 platinum-certified album, All the Pain Money Can Buy. This breakthrough featured the chart-topping hit "The Way," a melody-driven track inspired by the true story of an elderly couple’s disappearance, which earned the band two Grammy nominations. Though their subsequent releases, such as The Harsh Light of Day (2000) and Keep Your Wig On (2004), saw less commercial dominance, the group remains active in 2026, continuing to tour and release new music through their official website and platforms like Patreon.
