Eric Löhrer

Eric Löhrer is a prolific French jazz and pop guitarist, composer, and educator born in Paris on February 15, 1965. He began his professional career while studying philosophy, releasing his acclaimed debut album, Éric Löhrer Trio, at age 23 in 1988. Known for his eclectic style that spans jazz, rock, and world music, he has led various ensembles including the Eric Löhrer Quartet and joined the celebrated Hadouk Quartet in 2013. His discography features notable works such as Evidence (1998), an acoustic tribute to Thelonious Monk, and the documentary score for The Things We Keep (2018). Löhrer has collaborated with a diverse range of artists including Ibrahim Maalouf, Jeanne Cherhal, and Didier Malherbe, and since 2009, he has served as a professor of jazz and contemporary music at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) de Paris.
